Types of Treatment
Stem Cell and CAR T Cell
Stem cell transplants and CAR T cell therapy represent significant advancements in treating hematologic cancers and other serious conditions. Each has its own unique benefits, risks, and treatment protocols, and the choice of therapy will depend on various factors, including the specific disease, the patient’s overall health, and previous treatments. Our team is dedicated to working with you to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for your individual needs.

CAR T Cell Therapy
Chimeric Antigen Receptor T (CAR T) cell therapy is a groundbreaking form of immunotherapy. It involves reprogramming a patient’s own T cells to recognize and attack cancer cells more effectively.
CAR T therapy is primarily used for certain types of blood cancers, such as B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, diffuse large B cell lymphoma, mantle cell lymphoma and multiple myeloma. It is generally considered for patients who have not responded to standard treatments.
Some patients may be eligible for outpatient CAR T cell therapy if they are at lower risk for complications, allowing them to receive treatment while staying close to their care team.

Stem Cell Transplantation
This treatment helps restore the body’s ability to fight infections, produce oxygen-carrying red blood cells, and prevent bleeding, offering long-term remission.
Typically used for patients with diseases affecting the bone marrow or blood, the goal is to replace damaged or diseased bone marrow with healthy stem cells that can regenerate the body's ability to produce healthy blood cells.
Stem cell transplants are intensive procedures that may require inpatient care for close monitoring, management of side effects, and protection from infections as the new immune system begins to take hold.
