Jessica Terrell, APRN, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who has nearly 17 years of oncology nursing experience; 4.5 of those years have been spent as a nurse practitioner. She became interested in oncology nursing as a high school student when her close friend was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma. She worked as a pediatric oncology nurse for over 12 years before advancing her education and becoming a nurse practitioner. With a passion for caring for oncology patients, she chose to continue her work in this specialty with a new focus on radiation oncology. She enjoys providing patient education and helping her patients through their cancer journey in any capacity. Her areas of expertise include:
About Me
I am a Florida native and have lived in Jacksonville for the past two decades. My husband, daughter and I enjoy spending time on the water, wake surfing and enjoying the extended summers we have here.
My philosophy of care is to listen to patients and work to meet them where they are in terms of their care. I encourage my patients to ask questions and to understand that they are the drivers of their own health care. My goal is to have every patient that I encounter feel that they have been well taken care of.
