Every employee from start to finish was professional and friendly. The oncologist Dr. Samra really listened and I was comfortable asking questions. Well getting to know Dr Samra pretty well now after nearly 3 months of care. He is a great doctor and a good and calming person. I always have a good experience at the clinic. On time, the staff, Mindy and Emily in particular, are welcoming but efficient. Dr Samra explains my bloodwork and reviews my meds in detail. I don't know enough to question my treatment with any import, but Dr Samra is always concerned with my level of comfort and questions well being, which has been remarkably good. Eating fine and no nausea. I have no previous experience with cancer or its treatment but I would not now trust my care to anywhere else but Dr. Samra and Baptist MD Anderson. I am so grateful for the care and expertise I have experienced.

I like my doctor but there is no coordination between doctor, lab and infusion. Lab appointments and infusion appointments are made without any input from me, they just appear on the Baptist web site and I have to call and fix them. They tell me that it only takes a couple of hours for the doctor to have the lab results, but that is not the case. I have to make my lab appointment the day prior to the doctor's appointment or there is a good chance that he will not have the latest results. I waited from Wednesday morning to the following Monday morning for the results from a CT scan. The only reason I had it then was that went to the department and personally asked that the results be released so my doctor would have it for my appointment with him. Your infusion area is obviously understaffed, and it shows. My infusion appointments were at 8:00 which became 9:00 which became 10:00 which became 11:00 and now they want me to come in at 1:45 for a session that takes 4 hours. I prefer the earlier appointments and I have voiced my preference, but it doesn't matter. There is always a delay of 30 minutes to an hour for the mixing of one of my chemo drugs. Right now, they have me scheduled for a 11:30 lab on 11/7, an infusion at 1:45 on 11/7 and I don't yet have a doctor's appointment. It will be up to me to get it all straightened out. I will ask for a different infusion time but if history is a guide, there will not be one available.

As a new patient, they assigned me to an oncologist that was going to retire in two weeks after my visit with him. They then connected me with an oncologist who I met with and he was reading a radiologist report of 2019 and warning me about a massive tumor in my lung that he was concerned about, nonetheless it was already removed surgically in 2019, but he was trading from an old and wrong report expressing his concern about the mass in my lung!
