Clinical Trials & Cancer Research

At Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, we are committed to advancing cancer care through innovative clinical research that brings tomorrow’s treatments to patients today. Our clinical trials program connects eligible patients with promising new therapies – from targeted treatments to cutting-edge immunotherapies – that aren’t available through standard care.

Clinical research is an essential part of our mission to improve cancer care and advance new treatment options for patients. As a partner of MD Anderson Cancer Center's cancer network, our physicians and research teams collaborate with investigators across the network and national research groups to bring innovative clinical trials and emerging therapies to patients in North Florida.

Why Cancer Clinical Trials Matter

Cancer clinical trials are carefully designed research studies that advance new ways to prevent, detect, treat, and improve survivorship for patients with cancer. These studies are essential to translating scientific discovery into better therapies, improved outcomes, and stronger standards of care for the communities we serve.

At Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, clinical trials are a key part of our commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and continuous innovation in cancer treatment. Through research, we strive to expand access to promising therapies while advancing knowledge that benefits patients locally and nationally.

By participating in a clinical trial, patients may have access to:

  • Innovative therapies that are not yet widely available
  • Personalized treatment strategies informed by the biology of the unique cancer
  • Multidisciplinary care teams integrating clinical expertise with leading research

Our trials encompass a wide range of cancer types and treatment approaches, including immunotherapy, targeted therapy and precision treatments.
