The transition from Dr. Crozier to Dr. Lima has been nothing but an unorchestrated transition leaving me with an unattended health advisor. I understand that I am near the end of my treatment program, but I have major concerns with the Letrozole medicine and would like to speak to the doctor about it. Then in the recent days the infusion center called me at 4:22pm on 3/28 regarding my infusion appointment the next day, 3/29 at 8:15am. She said they didn't have authorization from my insurance to administer the immunotherapy treatment, therefore; she cancelled the treatment for 3/29. She said they would call my insurance company and work it out. I called my insurance company and they said the doctor did not give authorization hence the decline. I am guessing Dr Lima dropped the ball to approve the treatment; however, I have in writing my insurance approved treatment through June, 2023. Beyond disappointing...Do I even need to fulfill my treatment at this point?

My oncologist, Dr. Lara Zuberi, has been wonderful. She is not only knowledgable, but professional, compassionate, and I feel like I am in good hands with her. I would give her and her team a score of 10. It is not because of them that I give a 7 on this survey. There were a couple of procedures that were done without preauthorization from my insurance provider and it has caused a lot of unnecessary frustration.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer, my team was assembled to coordinate my care. It all went so smoothly throughout my treatment. I underwent a lumpectomy and breast reduction. Dr. D'Sai, my plastic surgeon was so kind and caring as was his staff. After the surgery, the incisions were clean and minimal. I had no pain afterwards. Today, the incisions are fading and Dr. D'Sai discharged me from his care. I will always be grateful to him for his skill, his concern and his bedside manner.

My care team at Baptist is amazing. Dr. Chang Tismal and her staff are excellent at what they do. They are all very knowledgeable and helped me understand what my diagnoses was and the options that I had for treatment they made me feel at ease with making to correct decisions for my health and for the future. I would 100% reccomend Baptist Health to everyone I know. Service was excellent. The surgeon visit was a little frustrating his staff had me in the office for over an hour my daughter had to go out of the room twice to see when he was coming. He wanted to kknow evrything Dr. Tismal had told me about the surgery and my diagnoses he also told me I was not a good canidate to do the reconstruction at the same time as the cancer surgery for me being obese and other concerns. He also said he like for to loose at least 100lbs before considering for surgery. He in turn had his nurse give me a referral for Bariatric clinic to help in the situation. We will see how it goes when I am ready for the reconstruction for my complete masectomy.

The doctor was over an hour late to come in the room for my appointment then I was super rushed in the appointment I felt like. I kind of felt like my issues were dismissed and kind of pushed off for a few more months. I was ordered to take a cat scan, they never sent in the pre authorization and I went to the appointment and sat there for over an hour as well as and that appointment ended up having to be rescheduled. All in all, this whole process with surgical oncology has been horrible. I also think I???d prefer a different doctor to talk to that might not be as dismissive.

1.Dr. Desai, is very professional, he allows time for questions and answers, most importantly he clean his hands before patient care. 2. I never see Vanessa, MA performing hand hygiene, as she may perform before entering into the treatment room. She handled dressing /gauze that were to be applied to an open area with her ungloved hands. She placed a barrier on the counter before placing clean gauge and suture removal kit on it which was great, but I would like to see her clean her hands and use gloves when handling clean dressings to insure that infections are not acquired or introduced to any patient. She did use gloves before applying dressing. Overall, the care beginning with checking in, treatment and checking out was great.
