- Master of Science
- Certified ARNP/PA
- Licensed ARNP/PA
- Surgical experience required –First assist preferred
- Inpatient: The APP acts as the first and second assist in the OR. The APP is responsible for: independent rounding on patients in the acute post-operative phase who are admitted to the hospital, post-operative wound care and pain management, timely collaboration with consulting physicians, coordinates discharge from the hospital, evaluation of new head and neck cancer consults
- Outpatient: Evaluates new and existing head and neck cancer patients in collaboration with staff physicians, speech pathologists, and dieticians, completes outpatient documentation in a timely fashion, performs indirect flexible laryngoscopy in clinic, performs neck ultrasound in clinic, assists with excisional and punch biopsies, works with nursing staff on process improvement protocols
- Hours: Monday – Friday
- Night and Weekend call: home call for head and neck cancer service only, weekend call no more than once a month.
